Reminder that Adobe will stop all support for it's Business Catalyst platform.
This means that if you you are currently running a website that is based on Business Catalyst, when support stops it will no longer be available to you or your patients. As your website is a critical component for marketing and providing important patient information, this would be very bad news for your practice if you were unable to have a new site built in time.
If your website relies on Business Catalyst, it makes sense to update to a new Drupal website now for a few reasons:
- You site is likely quite old (we started moving away from Business Catalyst about 4 years ago as we saw the benefits for most clients). Design and site features have improved substantially since that time. Your patients will appreciate (and many simply demand) a modern website.
- The Drupal Content Management System (CMS) allows us to create any features you are likely to need and offers a large number of technical benefits simply not available with Business Catalyst. Drupal is considered Open Source, so does not rely on a single provider like Adobe.
- It's a good opportunity to improve the quality and scope of your website.
- Timeliness will be important to ensure we are able to transition all of our clients websites to the new Drupal CMS before Adobe shuts down Business Catalyst – therefore you should act promptly to ensure a smooth transition.
If you are unsure if you have an Business Catalyst website, we can confirm the status of your website. If your site does rely on Business Catalyst we should discuss your needs. So please contact us today.
